Sometimes you just gotta be lazy and use a cake mix! I bought a sugar free cake mix a longgg time ago, put it in my pantry and forget about it until today. Thought it would be a good time to experiment and see if I could use it to make a protein cake! I decided to make a mini cake using a 6″ pan and therefore did not use the entire box of cake mix….which means more cake mix for future use! YAYY. I was pretty pleased with the result, it was a tad bit dry but besides that tasted like normal cake! Next time I might decrease the whey or use more butter to get the moistness (is that a word?) level up.
- 2 scoops cellucor molten chocolate whey protein
- 1 egg and 1 egg white
- 2 tb light butter (I used blue bonnet brand)
- 4 servings Pillsbury sugar free chocolate cake mix (152g)
- 1/3 cup water
Mix everything together, put into a greased 6″ pan and bake at 350F for 25 minutes 🙂
Macros for 1/4 of recipe: 219 calories, 33C/17P/6F and 2.5g fiber
